This is a full day educational opportunity designed for Advance Practice Providers.  Internal APP’s and Physicians will be presenting on a broad range of clinical topics to update on diagnostic modalities and treatment options.

Wound Suturing Workshop - Ethicon

8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

The curriculum will include science of wound management, understanding patient healing factors, impact of polymers & needles, and technique suturing videos. *

Insertion and Removal Training - Nexplanon

1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

During the Clinical Training Program for NEXPLANON, you will receive hands-on training for insertion and removal procedures as well as implant localization techniques. Completion of this course will allow you to order the product from authorized distributors. Space is limited to 26; please register early for the session. This session, which is sponsored by Organon, is not accredited for continuing education credit. The training is open only to Medical Doctors (MDs), Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), or Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs), and Residents authorized to perform the procedures entailed in the insertion and removal of NEXPLANON in the jurisdiction where they practice. Additionally, NPs, PAs, and CNMs must attest that they have met all specific state conditions and requirements, including but not limited to signing a collaborative agreement with an MD/DO. *

Knee Joint Injections - Joint Injection

10:15 AM - 11:00 AM

During this workshop, you will receive hands on training to learn and or improve techniques for knee injections. A video will be shown on how to perform knee injections. A short presentation will be given discussing the use of viscosupplementation for the use in treating knee degeneration. After the presentation, rubber knee models will be available to practice on. Assistance with the injections will also be available by AHN Ortho PA’s. Space is limited to 12 attendees. This session is being sponsored by Bioventus, knee models are being supplied by Arthrex. This session is not accredited for CME credit. *

EKG Workshop

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

 Learn more through an interactive workshop about arrhythmias, blocks, ischemic changes, and basic tips/tricks to navigating EKGs. We will dive a little deeper into pre-op testing EKG findings that necessitate further workup as well.
