Cardiovascular Medicine Update 2023
Managing cardiovascular disease continues to challenge practitioners because of the ever-changing advancements, complex clinical problems and new diagnostic methods. This annual conference is designed to equip practitioners with state-of-the-art tools to help improve medical and surgical outcomes through better diagnosis, treatment and management options for their patients. This conference includes a review of the latest innovations in the management of heart failure and cardiogenic shock including novel medical and surgical treatments and new insights into the pathogenesis and treatment strategies for pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure patients. Electrophysiology remains a quickly evolving specialty with new medications, new devices and new ablation therapies being applied to patient care. This conference will seek to provide a thorough overview of the latest EP technologies and techniques. In addition to providing an in-depth update in cardiovascular care, this symposium includes the Pittsburgh Young Investigators Award in recognition of the current research being done by the Cardiology Fellows, separate morning and afternoon sessions Saturday devoted to nurses and the ever-popular Echo Jeopardy! Back by popular demand, a “Stump the Professor” has been added.
