The purpose of this training is to educate professionals on obstetrical racism and how it is impacting health outcomes, as well as provide attainable actions that can be taken as individuals and as institutes to reduce racial disparities and bias. 
This training seeks to:
•    Build a clear understanding of systemic/structural racism and structural inclusion and explore the individual, interpersonal, organizational, and societal dynamics that make both possible.
•    Gain tools, learn new practices and identify next steps, both as individuals and as leaders, for counteracting racial bias and dismantling structural racism within the organization and with our partners.
•    Understand healthcare disparities and poor health outcomes, as well as Perinatal Racial Health Disparities and reproductive justice.
•    Learn clear, attainable, and implementable steps for changed behavior, improved communication, and accountability for one another.

•    Session 1 focuses on education by establishing what racism is, the history of obstetric racism and its alignment with the present, perinatal racial health disparities, social determinants of health, and reproductive justice. 
o    This session is estimated to take 2 hours and has multiple breaks included.
