Empowering Primary Care: A Full-Day Workshop on Dermatology Procedures and Condition Identification This intensive full-day training is specifically designed for primary care providers and residents seeking to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in dermatological care. Recognizing the increasing prevalence of skin conditions in general practice, this workshop aims to empower participants to confidently identify, diagnose, and manage common dermatological issues, as well as competently perform essential in-office procedures.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this full-day seminar, primary care providers and residents will be able to: Accurately identify and differentiate common benign and malignant skin lesions, including but not limited to, seborrheic keratoses, actinic keratoses, basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas, and melanoma precursors and melanoma. Demonstrate proficiency in performing essential dermatological procedures, specifically various biopsy techniques (e.g., shave, punch, excisional), and simple lesion excisions, with appropriate pre- and post-procedure care. Employ a systematic approach to dermatological examination that facilitates thorough assessment and enhances diagnostic accuracy. Effectively counsel patients on skin cancer prevention, early detection strategies, and appropriate self-care for common skin conditions. Determine appropriate criteria for specialist referral to dermatology, ensuring optimal patient pathways and collaborative care.
