IBD Summit
Inflammatory bowel disease ( IBD) is a chronic life long illness that has been on a rapid increase in the last decade in North America. With an increase in incidence of IBD, our understanding of the disease and its complications has also evolved. The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition at Allegheny Health Network aims to highlight the advances the treatment and management of IBD. To that aim, our team has planned a day long CME event: the first AHN IBD Summit.
The Program will feature world renowned IBD faculty discussing wide arrays of clinical IBD topics pertaining to the diagnosis, management and complications of these complex conditions. In addition, it will highlight the latest advances and state-of-the-art interventions . The participants will get a chance to directly interact with the faculty during the conference.

Target Audience

Discuss how to use biosimilars in their practice for management of IBD
Review how to manage patients with Pouchitis.
Discuss how to manage IBD in patients who are pregnant and lactating.
Review how to utilize endoscopy in management of IBD
Discuss how to ensure quality parameters like vaccination etc are met in patients with IBD
Identify how to use newer medications in management of IBD patient
Review up-to-date current society guidelines.
