Women's Sports Wellness Conference
This multidisciplinary conference will focus on women’s sports wellness and musculoskeletal health. There will be panel discussions, as well as interactive sessions to highlight specific considerations and concerns for female athletes, with a goal to improve care and collaboration within our health system and across the region. This activity is intended for physicians, physical/occupational therapists, athletic trainers, sports and conditioning professionals, and dietitians, as well as female athletes.

Registrant Refund Policy:
Eligibility for a registrant refund is based on the following criteria. Please note, all registrants must email CME department within the specified time frames to be eligible for a refund. To receive a full refund, registrants must provide written notification to the CME department no sooner than 30 days of activity start date. Registrants that notify the CME department within 14-29 days prior to activity will receive a 50% refund.

This conference will provide updates in a variety of areas, including preventative care, valvular disease, heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, along with advanced treatment and management options. The event is ideal for attendees across multiple vascular and cardiac disciplines, including surgeons, across medicine specialties, PAs/extenders, RNs, residents, PCPs, cardiologists. We welcome cardiovascular disease fellows and medicine trainees across all subspecialties.

Describe injuries that are more prevalent in females
Compare physiologic differences between male and female athletes and how these impact injury risk
Compare mechanical differences between male and female athletes and how these impact injury risk
Identify nutritional concerns in female athletes across the age spectrum with particular attention to relative energy deficiency in sport (RED-S)
Identify how diverse genetic and cultural backgrounds can affect health conditions and outcomes, particularly for female patients
Discuss mental health impact affecting the female athlete through the age spectrum
Describe recommendations and restrictions in the pregnancy and post-partum period.
This conference will focus on women's sports wellness and musculoskeletal health. The goal is to educate both physicians, therapists, trainers, and female athletes (of all levels) about specific considerations and concerns for female athletes with a goal to improve care and collaboration across the system and the region.
