Social Security Disability Education

The course will review the purpose and processes of two federal Social Security programs, Social Security Insurance and Social Security Disability Income. Specific information pertaining to guidelines for eligibility, structure of the process when applying, how decisions are made regarding approvals, differences between adult and child applications, and various qualifying and disqualifying aspects of each program. This course is particularly important to clinicians working with at-risk populations affected by acute and chronic medical conditions.
