School Based Behavioral Health and Wellness Conference
The last few years have been incredibly challenging times for schools with far reaching behavioral health and wellness implications for students, educators, and school communities. The first annual School Based Behavioral Health and Wellness Conference will address such implications through a focus on topics directly related to understanding behavioral health concerns within a school environment. Sessions will include topics such as trauma-informed school environments, engaging and enhancing mindful awareness of the school community, how grief and loss have an impact upon student behavior and outcomes, teacher burnout, impact of social media, and recognizing anxiety and depression in students. Additionally, the conference will provide courses on non-traditional methods of amplifying the wellness of a school community, such as mindfulness and the arts, and the impact of school athletics upon a student's emotional wellness.
Target Audience
School educators, social workers (LSW, LCSW), Counselors (LPC), school administrators, psychologists (PhD, PsyD), Physicians (MD), Nurses.
