Resolve Through Sharing Perinatal Bereavement Course
Resolve Through Sharing® (RTS) Perinatal Bereavement Training is a comprehensive 2-day training in perinatal bereavement education. This training is intended to enhance your knowledge, level of skill, and personal awareness when providing care to families whose baby dies. Online pre-course modules are included with this course. Training focus: Perinatal death through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, and newborn death.
Target Audience
Any healthcare worker who cares for or interacts with patients and their families who are experiencing perinatal loss.
Learning Objectives
1. Identify best practices related to caring for individuals who are experiencing perinatal loss.
2. Identify three theoretical frameworks that promote understanding of perinatal death.
3. Describe communication techniques within the context of relationship-based care.
4. Identify the role of keepsakes and memory making during a family's grief journey.
5. Describe two examples of how care givers can use ritual when a baby dies.
6. Define perinatal palliative care phases and methods to honor hope within the decision-making process.
