MD 1. Understand the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and risk factors for post-operative macular edema.
2. Develop an algorithm for the treatment of post-operative macular edema.
3. Understand the risks and benefits of the different therapies used to manage post-operative macular edema. Resident Case Presentation – H.

Lecture 2. The Case(s) for a Combined Uveitis-Vitreoretinal Surgeon – J. Deaner, MD
1. Develop
an algorithm to differentiate the typical clinical features of ocular infectious and inflammatory diseases from
masquerade syndromes.
2. Understand when it is appropriate to perform a vitreous, retina, or chorioretinal
biopsy.
