Journey Through Cardiogenic Shock
The Journey Through Cardiogenic Shock is an open flow learning model that incorporates immersive skills and simulation where staff circulate freely through stations, no assigned times, breaks or lunch periods. credit is awarded only for the time spent engaged (sign in/sign out). Power point presentation on SCAI Shock and CSWG staging and algorithm plays continuously in the main room. Stations for patient scenarios with each type of cardiogenic shock will be staffed with content experts, simulation faculty, and device representatives. Stations with IABP, Impella and Swan Ganz Catheters will discuss treatment uses, compliacations, nursing care placement and waveform analysis. Harvi simulator will be the last station which shows treatment responses for each condition related to the treatment ordered.
