A one-day hybrid educational symposium that will review and analyze the most current developments in clinical practice and relevant research in headache medicine. Experts from across the Great Lakes region will present their analysis of the most recent evidence on the treatment and management of headache disorders, describing developing science, medications, and interventions.

Target Audience

This symposium is for general practitioners, internists, pediatricians, neurologists, anesthesiologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health professionals such as dentists, psychiatrists and physical therapists who treat or study headache.

Learning Objectives

1. Incorporate recent evidence, clinical updates, and case-based insights into practice to improve diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic decision-making in headache medicine.

2. Identify appropriate indications for procedural and interventional therapies in headache management and integrate them into comprehensive treatment plans when indicated.

3. Recognize the clinical features, diagnostic criteria, and management strategies for complex headache disorders, including trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, post-concussion headache, and idiopathic intracranial hypertension.

4. Explain current understanding of migraine pathophysiology and the mechanisms by which emerging targeted therapies influence headache pathways.

5. Apply patient-centered management strategies for headache disorders across the lifespan, including pediatric-to-adult transitions, reproductive health considerations, contraception, and fertility-related treatment planning.

Registrant Refund Policy:

Eligibility for a registrant refund is based on the following criteria. Please note, all registrants must email CME department within the specified time frames to be eligible for a refund.  To receive a full refund, registrants must provide written notification to the CME department no sooner than 30 days of activity start date. Registrants that notify the CME department within 14-29 days prior to activity will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 14 days in advance are non-refundable.  Requests to change registration status from in-person to virtual attendance made within 14 days of the conference may be accommodated; however, the difference in registration costs is non-refundable.
