AHN Aortic Symposium
A regional half-day CME symposium for primary care physicians, cardiologists, and emergency medicine clinicians, designed to (1) increase awareness of the AHN Aortic Center and its multidisciplinary capabilities; (2) provide actionable, guideline-based education on detection, surveillance, genetics, and acute aortic syndromes; and (3) streamline access for referring providers through the Center's single-call pathway.

Primary care physicians and advanced practice providers
General and noninvasive cardiologists
Emergency medicine physicians and APPs
Internal medicine and family medicine residents
Allied AHN partners (imaging, genetics, etc.)
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: • Identify the multidisciplinary capabilities of the AHN Aortic Center and the single-call referral pathway. • Apply current society guideline thresholds for thoracic aortic surveillance imaging, medical management amd surgical indications. • Recognize syndromic and familial aortopathy presentations and order appropriate genetic testing. • Initiate evidence-based blood-pressure management and lifestyle counseling for patients with thoracic aortic disease. • Apply the Aortic Dissection Detection Risk Score (ADD-RS) and recognize imaging pitfalls in acute aortic syndromes. • Execute timely and appropriate transfer of patients with suspected acute aortic syndrome to the AHN Aortic Center.
