8th Annual AHN IBD Summit
The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Allegheny Health Network (AHN) will explore advances of treatment and management of IBD at the annual IBD course. The Program will feature world-renowned IBD faculty discussing clinical IBD topics pertaining to its diagnosis, management, and complications. In addition, it will highlight the latest advances and state-of-the-art interventions.
Target Audience
Gastroenterologists, internists, colorectal surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, radiologists, pathologists, and GI/internal medicine fellows, as well as surgical residents/medical students, nutritionists, and nurses.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss the use of biosimilars in the management of IBD
- • Review the management of pouchitis
- • Discuss the management of IBD in pregnancy and lactation
- • Review new innovations in endoscopic management of strictures in IBD
- • Understand the importance of vaccinations- and their timing in IBD
- • Identify how to use newer medications in the management of IBD patients
- • Understand the role of diet in management of IBD and Celiac disease
- • Review updates in the management of celiac disease and microscopic colitis
