2022 AHN Stroke Symposium

The AHN Stroke Symposium is designed to provide education on current, evidence-based practice knowledge across the continuum of stroke care. This annual event is aimed at assisting with educational requirements for nurses, providers, therapists, and other health care professionals who care for stroke patients. A variety of educational methods will be used by a faculty of experts during this conference.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe disease process of cerebral amyloid angiopathy , diagnosis and treatment.
  • Discuss legal recommendations and considerations of documentation.
  • Review 2022 intracerebral hemorrhage guidelines and identify key points for nursing care.
  • Identify tips and strategies to prepare and complete a successful stroke accreditation survey.
  • Review innovative advances in neuroimaging related to stroke care.
  • Discuss acute ischemic stroke treatment in patients outside of 4.5 hour window.
  • Explain tips for successful dysphagia screening.
  • Review advances in stroke care.
