16th Annual Chronic Wound Conference
On May 1, 2020, Allegheny Health Network will sponsor its 16th conference on chronic wounds. This full day course, presented by distinguished faculty, will help clinicians bring the latest advancements into their own work settings. This conference will provide the attendees an update on current research and best practices in wound care relating to the patient with cancer diagnosis from a multidisciplinary team approach.
Physicians, physician assistants, podiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, and all others involved in wound management.
Total credits to be determined.
Physicians: Allegheny General Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME.
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME.
The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) states that the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are acceptable for continuing medical education requirements for recertification.
Physical Therapists: Application has been submitted to the PA State Board of Physical Therapy for approval of continuing education credit.
Podiatrists: The Western Pennsylvania Hospital is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a sponsor of continuing education in podiatric medicine. This educational activity has been approved for continuing education contact hours.
Social Workers: The American Psychological Association (APA) is a preapproved provider of continuing education courses and programs for social workers and clinical social workers, and can be used towards re-licensure.
