Innovations in Pain Management-Enduring Material

The Allegheny Health Network / Orthopedics This Week Course focused on innovations for the management of chronic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, persistent spinal pain, post- surgical pain or other cases of chronic neuropathology is an accredited orthopedics educational program. 
 
Orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopaedic and neurosurgical nurses, physician’s assistants and other industry professionals are all welcome to attend this unique and dynamic online, interactive meeting on May 20th. 
 
For this class, topics to be covered will include: a systematic literature review of spine neuromodulation therapies, deep brain stimulation for chronic pain, identification of a selective small-molecule inhibitor as a novel analgesic, the impact of virtual reality on chronic pain, the brave new world of DNA-decoy prevention of acute and chronic post-surgical pain and current concepts in pain management reimbursement.
