Cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) therapy is a new innovation in the treatment of symptomatic chronic heart failure patients who have a reduced left ventricular ejection fraction, who are in normal sinus rhythm and not candidates for cardiac resynchronization therapy.  This therapy has been shown to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life while reducing the risk of hospitalization from decompensated heart failure.  In this video conference, we will discuss the benefits of CCM therapy, the mechanism of action by which this therapy improves clinical outcomes, indications, and implantation technique.  We will discuss the evidence that supports the use of this therapy in chronic heart failure.
