Review of previous months' mortality and morbidity cases allows multiple educational opportunities for fellows along with mentoring by faculty relative to medical knowledge, practice based learning, and improvement, systems-based practice, professionalisms and interpersonal & communication skills; peer review by quality team physicians; escalation of problems-issues.
