Healthcare is complex and ever-changing. More physicians will be called upon to lead the change and address challenging issues. Physicians are trained to focus on patient care; however, they lack training in essential business acumen and strategic concepts that require a collaborative approach to process improvement and a cultural shift.

The CMU Leadership certificate, in partnership with the AHN Medicine Institute, has been developed for early to mid-career physicians to bridge the skills gap between clinician and leader. This 12-month hybrid format program blends distance learning and on-campus visits to allow for flexibility, networking, and collaboration within their cohort of peers.

Four major topics:  Healthcare Finance, Leadership Journey, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, and Strategy.
