At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Summarize the current standard antithrombotic regimen and its limitations in HeartMate 3 LVAD patients
2. Interpret current literature for use DOACs in HeartMate 3 LVAD patients
3. Select patients for whom transition from warfarin to apixaban may be appropriate
4. Design an anticoagulation regimen for a HeartMate 3 LVAD patient
