At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Define non-acetaminophen induced acute liver failure (NAILF) and its common etiologies
2. Review guideline recommendations for management of NAILF and the role of N-acetylcysteine (NAC)
3. Discuss available literature evaluating NAC use in adult patients with NAILF
4. Describe the utilization and place in therapy for NAC in alcoholic hepatitis and drug-induced liver injury (DILI)
