At Highmark Wholecare, we support and promote cultural competency training programs for all healthcare professionals. Cultural and linguistic competency is recognized as an important strategy for improving the quality of care provided to members from diverse backgrounds and helping to keep members engaged in care. The goal of this program is to increase provider’s understanding of the impact that culture and linguistics have on patients’ behavioral health and how to best support their patients while providing care.
