Learning Objectives

1. Raise awareness of what an “e-consult” may be from the primary team and the consultant’s perspective

2. Demonstrate the challenges of the lack of a comprehensive exam by case discussion

3. Highlight the importance of communication to avoid involvement of too many consultants

4. Review depression as a comorbidity in autoimmune disease.

5. Assess our efficiency for screening and managing depression in an outpatient setting

6. Better understand systemic factors that may be limiting our detection of depression in an outpatient setting.

7. Discuss possible solutions to improve these indices.
