This course is designed to optimize the utilization of antimicrobials to maximize clinical cure while minimizing the unintended collateral damage associated with antimicrobial exposure. This will be accomplished by enhancing the knowledge and competence of individuals commonly prescribing antimicrobials at these institutions. Additionally, the symposium is designed to assist individuals involved with cultivating and advancing antimicrobial stewardship programs for their local healthcare institutions.
